SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES FOR U.S. EMBASSIES,
FULBRIGHT COMMISSIONS, AND EDUCATIONAL ADVISING CENTERS
The following list is just a start. We encourage you
to be creative in planning events for the week and let
us know about your activities.

Spotlight an especially successful educational exchange
program by inviting participants to the embassy for
a reception or to speak on a panel.
Coordinate a visit by the U.S. ambassador to a local
university or school to speak about U.S. or international
education or other topics. Tie the visit to other exchange
activities: the school of a Fulbright Teacher, a university
hosting a Fulbright scholar or student, or a Gilman
Scholarship recipient.
Organize a college fair for international students interested
in U.S. higher education.

Invite participants in educational and cultural exchange
programs (Fulbright students and scholars, Cultural
Specialists, etc.) to perform or have their work exhibited
at the embassy during IEW.
Organize an online discussion or Digital Video Conference
between students in your post and the U.S.
Sponsor an essay competition for local students on the
importance of international education.
Present books or computerized reference materials to
a local university or school.
Ask former international students, exchange participants,
or U.S. study abroad students in your country to speak
to prospective international.
