OFFICIAL LETTER FROM ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

On behalf of all Californians, I am pleased to offer greetings as you observe International Education Week.

With our world becoming increasingly interconnected, our students need to become aware of global issues and international affairs. The free exchange of ideas and knowledge is vital to advancing mutual understanding, and I commend you for promoting in our young people tolerance of diverse cultures.

I applaud NAFSA for encouraging schools to open their doors to the international community by welcoming students from abroad and offering on-campus opportunities to learn about other countries and people.

Please accept my best wishes for continued success.

Sincerely,

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
