SUGGESTIONS FOR SUBMITTING PICTURES AND REPORTS

>> Photos
>> Reports

PHOTOS
Photos of International Education Week events should be submitted no later than December 31, 2005. We are especially interested in photographs which highlight varied events in action rather than posed group shots or static shots of panel discussions.

Photos may be submitted either electronically or as prints by mail. When sending photos, please include information which identifies the event, city, country or U.S. state, and (where known) the individual(s) in the photograph.

If you are submitting your photos electronically, please note that we are only accepting them in the jpeg (.jpg) format. We ask that you resize your photos to a width no greater than 450 pixels. If you are unable to resize your photos, our software will take care of that for you. Resizing your photos, however, will reduce their size and enable you to submit them to our database much more quickly.

Photos may be sent in several ways:

Mail

Photos may be mailed to:

International Education Week
Office of the Deputy Secretary for Academic Programs (ECA/A)
Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
U.S. Department of State Annex 44
301 4th Street, SW
Room 202
Washington, DC 20547

Important: If you are mailing prints to us, please place a piece of plain bond paper between pictures to avoid melting during mail x-raying.

Email

Digital or scanned photos may be emailed to:

feedback@state.gov

Note: Once submitted, photos will not be returned, and become the property of the Department of State for use in electronic and print media to promote International Education Week and bureau programming.

REPORTS

We encourage you to submit reports on your IEW events. We are most interested in hearing about attendance, impact, and visibility of your events. We are also interested in hearing about any media attention that might have occured during your events(s). This attention could include a news broadcast, a radio show, a newspaper article, and so on.

We are accepting reports only as DOC, PDF, RTF, TXT, JPG, and GIF files. If you have another type of file you would like to submit, please let us know. We are also providing a text box where you can enter your information right through our Web site.
